it's technically the last day of school...

I lost my 4.5yrs old 512MB thumbdrive, which I bought for 300k.

111 days to change of password - how nice.

13/04/10

Well it's been some time indeed.

I don't have too many days that I would want to remember, but this april 13th is certainly one I would. To begin with, it's tom's bday - so it's easy to recall.

Two days before was the FYP retreat - we all had to present our topics... and mine was last. It went surprisingly well. Which was good for me - I'm the type that needs more of the moral boost, not the corrections n suggestions.

So this day, I had my CA4 at 11am. An Indian guy went before me, and he got kinda owned. Luckily the examiner was not working in the field related with mine, so.... well, all in all, it went quite well. Only that he honestly said how things seem so simple, but I covered it up by explaining that the system took some time to understand. Which was not a lie, trust me. All in all, my last encounter with FYP was surprising... because things hadn't actually gone that well so far. Late developments. Lazy. Slack. Bleahk.

Then I had to finish my lab report... optoE... how confusing n random.
Jamie Cullum concert.
Must endure the rain on my pants n shoes on the way to esplanade. But the kind of show Jamie gave (I suppose he's well trained in these kind of shows....) was really worth the watch.

I've been thinking about all his uniqueness - if not extremeness - during the show, so here we randomly go.
1) Opened a can of beer in between songs, and started gulping it.
2) Climbed the grand piano on second verse, and jumped down on chorus.
3) "To honor the artist, please note that all recording materials are allowed. Feel free to take as many video as you want and post them on youtube."
4) Played chords by STRUMMING the piano strings.. this one still mystery.
5) Gulped beer and invited everyone who actually brought beer to open up theirs too.
6) Knelt on the piano keys.
7) Reminded everyone to keep recording.
8) Went to an unseen angle near the audience. Note that it's a Concert Hall - which is supposed to be somewhat elegant.
9) Played with the mic. Close far, right left right left....
10) Did Frontin' all on his own... prerecorded beats and beatboxes. This one is super imba.
11) Joked! How often do you see a musician (not just any musician but a great one) joke on stage. I think he doesn't even have to play the notes correctly anymore. He was pretty much doing whatever he wanted.
12) And he was too lazy to throw away his can, so he passed it to one of the audience before exiting the stage.
13) Among other things.

Anyway, glad he closed with All at Sea. What a show =)
And thanks to my boo for having fun with me XD
