loooooooooooooooooooooooooong day

I should probably write about one of the things-to-do-filled and rushiest (hope u get the root word) days of my life.
-------------------------------------
It was April 13, but unlike every other April 13s I had. I woke up at 7.15am since I wanted to call home to give bro my happy bday wish,, but I suddenly recalled mom saying about holiday on a Monday,, so I thought it would be some post-election-cum-easter holiday. Thus I went back to sleep without calling home.
I woke up around 9,, strolled to office as I always had,, but this day with a little burden of having to speak and stand up on my decision regarding France. In short, I've decided that HR can be put aside. So. I went to office,, filled my Visa application form, and was even about to leave for Embassy when my colleagues made me realize that I've so much to prepare: photos, passport, proof of insurance, flight confirmation, proof of accomodation, financial guarantee, and business letter. So,, so I went a bit haywire and realized how fool I was to think that an application form would be enough. At this point of time, my colleague asked me to come up with another sprinkler for the cabbage.
So,, I lined and poked the hose as I usually did, carry it out of the lab with the thought of drilling it later in the afternoon, and tried to settle the forms first. Among the list of documents I had to prepare, the most confusing thing would be the medical insurance proof. I made my way to Registrar's Office to ask about that, then bounced to UHC, which was closed for lunch. So I went to Clementi to have lunch and take photo. I took a shot and printed 6pieces of 30x24 ID photo - which was apparently very ex here, 8bucks. Then I went to McD and waited for my boo there for about half an hour. Not bad,, that way I have time to go through my presentation slides, which I had printed somewhere between going out from lab and going to Clementi.
So then I took my lunch, then went back and went to UHC. I was given a card with phone number which I should make a call to regarding the issue. Then I made a call, and went on to PCB lab to drill the hoses. It's something I've been doing for at least the past 2months,, so it took me quite fast yesterday. I went back to the lab, and Dr Cheok (lab's director - basically he's the man) and those in Japan (I suppose) was having teleconference with those here. I forgot what I did then,, but eventually when the big teleconference was over, I was called into the teleconference room to speak to Dr Cheok regarding my decision. I was expecting another speech on "It's your decision, you shouldn't fail a grade," but apparently he said he'd support my decision on going - he was glad of the fact (that he now learned after 3months of my attachment) that I was an International Student and is currently on my 3rd year, that "Next year NUS can still make publications on an undergrad going for an international competition - and to my surprise even mentioned about getting IDM head and EE Dept Head to request the HR dept to make exception for my exam. woo.
(I've left the story at this point for 1 week,, now I've forgotten some details =S )Then,, then... I tried my best to keep bugging my colleague to pass me the necessary forms =p By 5pm, when I was about to rush to meet my HR groupmates to practice for presentation, my EE3001 groupmate suddenly MSNed me.
"Chris, can you print?"
and I went like, "Huh...?"
"Can you print our paper, then submit to the ECE Dept before 5.30?? None of us are back from IA yet."
"Err.. okay..."
So I ran to the PC cluster. I had to apologize to my HR groupmates on the way. Printed out a good 143 pages, then rushed to the office to submit it. When I was about to submit, another group rep, who was apparently my friend which name I've forgotten for some time, came with a nicely bundled report. He passed it to a lady there, who glanced at the unstapled/unbundled/unclipped report I was holding.
"R u gonna submit like that?" she asked.
"Oh.. no, of course not," I dodged (my friend said "just anyhow give it la", and I took him for granted), "I'm just checking whether I had to submit here."
"Yes, correct."
"Oh okay,, can you give me... 15minutes?"
Then I rushed to Central Forum (errr.. ECE office is at E4), bundled it, and ran back to the office to pass the report.
After that,, I made another run for bus to business school, and another one to Terrace. Had a green tea and a short practice for the presentation before going to HR class and eventually presented everything way better than the practices.
Well I hoped that was the end of the day. No. After class, I ran to Pasir Panjang from Biz, and caught a bus to HBF, since I had to go to Chinatown. There's this old friend who caught a bad illness,, and I wanted to visit him on his first day here. Long story short, we met, talked abt the disease, and I went back.
To PGP.. not! To the lab!! haha. Stupid me took MRT to BnV, then took 200 to Kent Ridge Terminal whereas the Lab was close to the Engine busstop which is in 183's route, and 2 long busstops away from Kent Ridge Terminal (Well.. it was late so 183 wouldn't be around anymore.. but anyway I should've gone to Clementi and took cab,, would've saved me at least 45mins). At very late night, the path from the terminal to engine was rather creepy. Tall trees around. As usual,, I'd check what's up. I've been looking for one, but never spotted one so far. Had a good adrenaline flow though.
So.. at lab,, haha. eventually only did solderings...coz the programming part etc has more or less been worked on by supposedly the busiest guy in the lab. He and 3 FYP students were still there when I came and when I eventually left at 4am. I walked a lonely 5mins to YIH, and another 25 to PGP with the cookies I bought from subway.
Shower. Sleep.
